- Physicians (Hospice Doctors):

- Work closely with the rest of the hospice team to ensure comprehensive care.
- Nurses (Registered Nurses or Licensed Vocational Nurses):
- Provide hands-on care, including medication administration and symptom management.
- Educate families on care techniques and what to expect.
- Offer emotional support to both patients and their families.
- Make regular visits and are often on-call for emergencies.
- Nurse Practitioners:
- Often collaborate with physicians to assess, diagnose, and treat symptoms.
- May take a more direct role in patient care, especially in smaller facilities.
- Social Workers:
- Address emotional, psychological, and social needs.
- Assist with advance directives, financial concerns, and coordinating community resources.
- Provide grief counseling and support for families.
- Chaplains or Spiritual Counselors:
